CHOICES

CHOICES refers to Connecticut's program for Health insurance assistance, Outreach, Information and referral, Counseling and Eligibility Screening. The program offers Connecticut's older adults a one-stop resource that provides information and referral services on a wide variety of aging- related matters.

This includes providing assistance on health insurance concerns to older adults and persons with disabilities. It also helps older adults to understand and exercise their rights, to receive benefits to which they are entitled, and to make informed choices about life concerns.

The program provides individual counseling through trained counselors (some of whom are seniors, too!) and participates in various educational programs and community-based forums that reach older adults and their families.
