Live Well Workshops Can Help…and YOU can be a Workshop Leader!
A NEW Health Promotion Program in Western CT. A program designed to help those who STRUGGLE to manage: Diabetes, arthritis, asthma, high blood pressure, heart or lung disease, sickle cell, pain, depression or other chronic health conditions.
Leader Characteristics:
- Ability to work with a small group of people and build rapport with them.
- Ability to read aloud and follow a leader’s manual in Spanish.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Ability to be non-judgmental and respectful of different opinions.
- Optimistic about a person’s ability to make changes.
Leader Requirements:
- Ability to read and write in Spanish and English fluently
- Attend the information session and all four days of the training.
- Co-facilitate a Live Well Workshop within 6 months of completing the training.
Information Session: Date and Location to be determined.
Leader Training: Tuesday and Wednesday, September 27th, 28th, October 4th and 5th from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. All four days of training are mandatory. Location to be determined.
