ATTENTION MEDICARE BENEFICIARIES!
UPDATE! The CT Department of Social Services is revising the implementation timeline of the Program cuts.
The effective date of any Medicare Savings Program eligibility changes based on the state budget will move past January 1, 2018.
DSS expects that its eligibility review will take at least two months. They do no currently anticipate any loss of benefits due to statutory eligibility limit reductions before March 1, 2018.
Beginning January 1, 2018, a new state law lowers income limits for the Medicare Savings Program (MSP) to the federal minimum level.
As a result, many Connecticut Medicare Beneficiaries' MSP benefits will end.
